Introduction

Hey Developer! you will be in charge of building a web app with a mobile responsive version. I will share all the required materials to get started and will be your person of contact for any doubts either technical or product-related. We have designed the screen and the interactions on Figma, (we will be sharing the link to the design document upon picking up the task)

Brief about the App

Highlight is an app for creators which helps them create embeds (a.k.a highlight) of their social media profile which is populated with stats of the same social media account. The stats to be displayed are chosen by the creator and they have the freedom to customize the way the highlight looks. Finally, they will be able to export the created Highlight as a picture, or as a live embed via a link or HTML code.

Problem Statement

Sharing stats and data metrics from different social platforms from time to time is always a hassle. Screenshots are not a convenient or an aesthetic solution. There are some data metrics that are private and hard to retrieve from social platforms. Highlight aims to solve the problem with beautiful-looking widgets of the social media profile which gets updated on its own and has an extensive library of stats to be shared. (Live widget)

Use-cases

• Primary: Improve discoverability of secondary accounts of creators
• Plug n play Analytics Dashboard on popular platforms like Notion or Discord or slack (where communities are hosting the workbase)
• Edge: Provide verification of a standalone website or social media belongs to a popular creator. Eg: A Shopify page of a creator could have the verified stats embed, meaning the creator had to verify his account at the time of creation of the stats embed.
• Public stats embed - your audience can also share your stats embed to all the platforms or communities they want. Free PR.

Audience

Creators (End user): People who have multiple active social media platforms and want to promote cross-discoverability and view analytics of these platforms. They want: Easy to setup, accurate metrics, design agnostic or customisable, secured or verified.
